So, I was groovin' to The Greatest Story Ever Told from the Stanley http://www.archive.org/details/gd72-09-28.sbd-patched.chrisl.26933.sbeok.flacf , when all of a sudden, I hear an unmistakeable riff in the jam. I've been listening to a lot of '72 and GSET was pretty common but I don't think I've heard the SS tease in other versions. Or have I just not been paying attention? Fall '72! What a gas!

I don't think I would call that a Stephen tease - although the riff u mention is obvious - can we get some more opinions?

I have heard that show, but i believe i have heard that stephen riff on more than one occasion. Bob seems real fond of adding the stephen riff into nearly everything in the 80's, especially china>Rider

Best S.S. tease--4-29-71 Fillmore East in the middle of the jam between Alligator and GDTRFB. Fully articulated.
